Materializing Your Dreams with your New Year Resolutions!- Motivation by Will Smith

The New Year of 2011 is here. I am actually blown away by this year. We are in the 21st century, heading into the second decade. Being a live at a time we have incredible technology, globalization is real, China, India and Brazil are becoming super powers and the world as we once knew it to be a mere 23 years ago has changed drastically. As an American custom people are looking into keeping their New Year resolutions, setting goals and being positive in some aspect. We all can be part of the rapid change and advancement that is being promoted in the world through setting a goal and believing in it. As I believe making positive change in your life is essential at any time you are ready the New Year is a refreshing time, to start something new. This motivational video, is a way for you/ us/ I to think of our resolutions in a grand scheme of our life goals and purpose. A resolutions can be a way to lay a brick perfectly for the wall we are creating as our goal (that analogy will make more sense after the video.)

The First Motivational video is from Will Smith. It is a hodgepodge of different interviews and a few acting scenes created by FullPowerMarketing a Youtube poster. The video is different clips of Will Smith talking about materializing your dreams.

The steps in a simplified form are:

• Loving to live,
• Knowing yourself and what you believe and dream,
• Being willing to die for your beliefs and dreams,
• Developing your skill by practice and focus and do not depend solely on your talent,
• Set out to perfectly build what you want one brick at a time
• Materializing your dreams through positive thought

I thought this is very good advice for anyone! Two quotes I pulled from this are:

I am back here, ready to post some nice things! New Music, Feminist Thought Commentary and 2!!! Motivational Videos. I have been absorbing a lot and now it is time for me to put out. I also have some retro post that I needed to finish so I will post it also (They are about 2 years old). I have been having some nice Lazy Days where the motivational videos are helping me wrap my mind around perfecting my writing craft. This process I am going through is HARD! Simphiwe Dana: Jazz Singer from South Africa

So this artist I am showcasing is an amazing vocalist. I wish, I could receive translation of her music. Simphiwe Dana is a Xhosa South African jazz singer. Her music even if you do not understand it, resonate with your soul. You feel her voice ring, at first you might want to shed a tear. If she speaks of her music, you break down with the imagery she provokes. So the following is some of her music.



Well, while posting the videos I came across a info tid bit about her music video. it said "This music video was a very close collaboration between Andrew and the artist, Simphiwe Dana. It was shot on 3 locations over three days. The basic concept was of African futurism and of creating a futurism based on African principles."

While traveling in South Africa and Rwanda I believe I saw that sentiment of creating an Africa with African ideology in mind. The Western Non-Profits and agencies come to fix Africa with their ideas of what is development for Africa. I have sat in classes where people voice their idea of development for a better world as the reality they see in the United States. These same students are working in and starting non-profits with their ideology in mind. This is what fixates me on Simphiwe Dana and the other South African artist I have come to know. As artist they are the embodiment of Africa for Africans with African in mind. Please, listen and be tune in with these ideas

I have been gone doing a lot of thinking. I have a lot to write about but I have been withholding my ideas about environmentalism, China, America and the Prison Industrial Complex. U.S. of A.: Extreme Edit

I am American yet contrary to popular culture; I hold very critical view of my country's values, culture and government. I am editing this piece to make it more diplomatic. So here is the first article an exposure of what America has done to the world and how it is coming back to them.

Actually, the article is about how China has a monopoly on clean energy technology, the USA is left dependent on China's exports. As any smart new emerging power, China is charging major tariffs and limiting the exports, giving them major control of this important market. We have to take into consideration that dependence on nonrenewable energy is not feasible. The value added cost of nonrenewable energy exceeds the benefits given as a energy source. Without access to renewable energy, the USA will become reliant on China for the the technology and know how. If you want to take it out of academic language, America is set to be the bitch of China. They will be scrapping and begging for the needs to keep America energized.

The article expectantly tries to paint China as the bad guy and the United States as the victim. There is a lot buzz currently with China defying the WTO regulations by devaluing their currency and for their tariffs. All the actions that China is taking as an emerging super power are the same actions the Unites States has taken in their heydays. I could go on how America has been in that role of monopolizing resources and technology to keep countries dependent on their resources, foreign Aid packages in the fine print include the use of U.S. companies and over priced commodities which only hinder the progress and self determination of a country.

So this article about China and their use of tariffs is just part of an arsenal of articles you can find in the N.Y. times to explain to us how China is bad.

I spent the Summer, In South Africa! Jobless, hanging out with my boyfriend in his Orange VW 1960's Bug. One thing we did all the time was listen to music. Adele, I loved her before but found a new appreciation for her voice and music. Actually, I started to listen to a few new artist (to my ears). So this will begin a series of post about music.
